Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in specialty License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 1 year of Epic experience required Teaching and Community hospital experience preferred Charge experience preferred Travel experience required Description: Shift is 3x12 nights from 18:45 to 07:15. Floating may be required based on skill set. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, which may change based on need. Medication system utilized is Omnicell. Must have active RN license. Candidates must have certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Candidates should have experience in accessing and managing ports, bariatric surgery, blood product administration, bowel obstruction, central line blood draws, colostomy and ileostomy management and care, feeding tube care and management, medical-surgical, telemetry, orthopedic trauma, peripheral line care and management, peripheral nerve block catheters, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, and total joint replacement. An interdisciplinary support team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary will be available. The daily census is approximately 15-20 patients in a unit with 30 beds. Candidates must be qualified to float to other units based on competency documentation. Modules are billable, up to 16 hours, and must be completed pre-start. Candidates will receive reimbursement for hours spent completing modules.
