Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. License: Valid SC license or Compact license required before start. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience in MS/Tele, telemetry interpretation of dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring on the unit. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty. This position involves working 3 twelve-hour shifts during the day. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1:6. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs may be necessary. The unit has 18 beds and is building from the ground up. Bedside monitoring capabilities include telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry. There is no off-shift management scheduled, but leadership is available during off-shift hours via phone. A house supervisor is on call for support 24/7. All registered nurses must be able to provide care for adults and geriatric patients. Common patient diagnoses include conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias. The facility offers support from multiple interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Candidates with community hospital experience are preferred. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates need to be prepared for possible incremental changes in assignments due to facility needs.
