• 22-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on neuro, neuro-surgical, and orthopedic patient populations
• Experience caring for stroke patients (CVA, TIA), altered mental status, and standard med/surg conditions
• EMR system: Meditech
• Supportive team environment with approximately 30 staff members
• Opportunity to utilize comprehensive nursing skills including IV insertions, catheter care, central line maintenance, NGT care, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Potential to float to other medical/surgical units as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of acute medical/surgical experience within the past year (required)
• Ability to manage 4-6 patients safely and effectively
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with neuro, neuro-surgical, orthopedic, or telemetry patient populations
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• BLS certification required
