TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Neuro RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Neuro – North Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 1845-0715. 36 or 48 hours per week accepted. Every other weekend required. Float required. Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks available. Must be able to work holidays and 2 of 3 major holidays.

Highlights:

  • Dedicated neuro unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • 24-hour orientation provided with experienced preceptors
  • Electronic medical records via EPIC; medication management through Pyxis
  • 24-bed unit focused on general medicine with neurological emphasis
  • Up to 7 days of approved time off during contract (no holidays)
  • First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Neuro experience required
  • Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management preferred
  • Proficiency with IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
  • EKG testing competency required prior to start
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information:

  • Pre-start online modules (approximately 8-10 hours) must be completed before first shift
  • All pre-employment testing must be completed within 48 hours after acceptance
  • Floating within and near the facility may be required based on operational needs
