Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a 32-bed unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe and focused assessments.
• Administer medications as per established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide updates to patients and families regarding their plan of care.
• Advocate for patients' needs and preferences.
• Document all nursing care accurately and timely.
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds).
• Experience in a busy level 1 trauma center is preferred.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state license.
• Proficiency in using EPIC for patient documentation is required.
• Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of diverse disease processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday. Nurses may be assigned to work either day or night shifts based on unit needs, with a focus on minimizing frequent changes in schedules.

Training and Orientation

New hires will go through an 8-hour classroom training session followed by 24 hours of unit-specific training.

Additional Information

• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Preferred scrub color is navy blue.
