Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) located in the region of Aspirus Iron River. This position involves providing general nursing care primarily to geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes. The RN will work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit, mainly during night shifts, with responsibilities including patient assessment, care planning, and documentation.

Job Details

  • Location: Aspirus Iron River
  • Position Description: Med/Surg RN 13-week contract beginning October 19, 2026, with a guaranteed minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Michigan RN license, AHA BLS certification, minimum 2+ years Med/Surg experience, Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing.
  • Additional Information: Experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis system preferred. Candidates with both Med/Surg and Emergency Department experience are highly preferred. Candidates capable of floating to the Emergency Department within their competency are desirable.
  • Responsibilities include general nursing care, charting, and patient management.
  • Scrubs: Any colored scrubs.
  • Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday.
  • Bed Count: 25 beds.
