Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg position specializing in Transitional Care – Long Term Care/SNF. The ideal candidate will have a patient-centered approach and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Position Information

  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours preferred; 36 hours acceptable
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Years of Experience Required: 1 year
  • Float Requirements: May float based on skill set

Education & Certifications Required

  • Required Certifications: BLS
  • Education Modules: Healthstream Modules

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 46 at capacity
  • Patient Ratios: 1:8 Max
  • Equipment: Specialty beds, vital sign machines, overhead lifts, bladder scanners, and more.
  • EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile

  • Must Have Skills/Experience: Recent acute care experience, charting and EMR experience
  • Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in Transitional Care settings
  • Type of Patients on Unit: Mix of medical and surgical patients, medically ready for discharge
  • Personality Fit: Demonstrates patient-centered care, teamwork, punctuality, and reliability

  • Scrub Color: Any color – fragrance-free
  • Unacceptable Attire: Artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, open-toed shoes, or any unprofessional dress and grooming
