Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Position Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with Med/Surg experience to join our dynamic nursing team. The successful candidate will demonstrate charge experience and a commitment to delivering exemplary patient-centered care.

Position Information:

  • Department: Nursing R7
  • Specialty: Transitional Care – Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48 preferred, 36 acceptable
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Years of Experience Required: 1 year
  • Float Requirements: May float based on skillset

Education & Certifications Required:

  • Certification: BLS Certification
  • Education Modules: Healthstream Modules

Unit Information:

  • Number of Beds: 46 at capacity
  • Patient Ratios: Maximum 1:8
  • Equipment: Specialty beds, Philips monitor vital sign machines, overhead lifts, Sara Steady, standing scale, bladder scanner, hover mat, Sage mat, Synergy air beds, Stryker beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, walkers, slide boards
  • EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile:

  • Required Skills/Experience: Recent acute care experience and proficiency in charting and EMR systems
  • Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in a transitional care setting is a plus
  • Patient Demographics: A mix of medical and surgical patients, medically ready for discharge
  • Personality Fit: Must exhibit patient-centered care principles, teamwork, excellent communication skills, punctuality, and reliability
