  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation of application initiation, valid BLS (American Heart Association) certification, minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered nurse
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week; shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit notes include patient ratios of 4-5 per RN during days and 5-6 per RN at night, with potential increases on some shifts.
    • Responsibilities include post-op care, critical thinking for patient assessment, and teamwork.
    • RNs manage inhalers and may place patients on CPAP, but do not manage ventilators.
    • Experience with telemetry monitoring is required; bedside RNs do not read strips, as there is a central monitor station.
    • The unit involves rotating every other weekend and holiday shifts, with a two-shift orientation, including EPIC training and unit orientation.
    • Floating to similar experience units will occur, with specific team patient loads if floating to general units.
    • Scrubs are provided, and dress code is flexible in terms of color.
    • Submissions require a BSN, and license submission is supported.
    • No call or standby duties are required.
