Charge Nurse - Nights (RN)

The Charge Nurse plays a vital role in supporting the Director in achieving both organizational and departmental goals. This position functions as a Charge Nurse, quality management coordinator, and a valuable resource for the unit. The Charge Nurse will also provide administrative support in the absence of the Director.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct comprehensive nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients during designated shifts.
• Assume full responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident/patient care.
• Participate in patient/resident and family education initiatives.
• Provide leadership through cooperative efforts with nursing and other healthcare team members, adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain resident/patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Licensure: Active RN license in the State of Maine or a Compact RN license.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
