Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor for a facility located in Portland, ME. This position involves providing patient-centered care within a busy clinical environment, supporting both medical and surgical patients on a predominantly nights shift schedule. Candidates with recent acute care experience and charting expertise are preferred to meet the demands of this role.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, recent acute care experience, charting / electronic medical record experience, minimum 1 year of experience, located within a reasonable distance to the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a mix of medical and surgical patients, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, punctuality, and reliability
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 46 beds with a patient ratio of 1:8
  • Equipment includes specialty beds, Philips monitors, overhead lifts, bladder scanners, hover mats, and various specialized beds and mobility aids
  • EMR system used is Epic
  • This position is intended to provide coverage for leave, with a start date of 10/05/2026 and end date of 01/04/2027
  • Dress code is professional scrubs in any color, fragrance-free; unacceptable attire includes artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, open-toed shoes, or unprofessional grooming
