Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Shelby, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry for a travel assignment. The role involves providing direct patient care in a 24-bed unit with varying diagnoses such as cardiac, respiratory, and neurological. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage non-titrating cardiac drips
  • Provide general medical/surgical care, including IV starts and wound care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination
  • Ensure patient safety and monitor for changes in condition
  • Document patient information accurately in the EMR system

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
  • Basic Med/Tele skills, including cardiac rhythm interpretation and IV start skills
