Registered Nurse - PCU | Shelby, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Shelby, NC. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of PCU RN experience and be comfortable working with a diverse range of patient diagnoses including CHF, Dysrhythmia, and Stroke.

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift Details: Nights, 3x12
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
  • Unit Beds: 32
  • Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4 most common, possibly 1:5 depending on acuity
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Floating: Required within region and scope of practice
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Expectations: Work 75% of holidays
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Parking: Free

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care for individuals with conditions such as CHF, Dysrhythmia, Stroke, among others
  • Administer medications and manage central lines
  • Perform wound care and dressing changes
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage tracheostomies

Qualifications

Required:

  • 18 months of PCU RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Experience with traches, cardiac gtts, and chest tubes
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and wound care
