PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Shelby, North Carolina.

RN - MedSurg/Tele | Location: Shelby, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN for the MedSurg/Tele unit. This role involves caring for patients with various cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions in a fast-paced observation setting. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Tele skills, including cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating cardiac drips.

Assignment Details

  • Shift times: 0645-1915 and 1845-0715
  • Patient ratios: RN 1:5-6 (surge staffing may reach 1:7-8), CNA 1:12
  • Floating required within region and scope of practice
  • Orientation: New Employee Orientation, 2 days departmental
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • Scheduling: 6-week schedule cycle
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and neurological diagnoses
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage non-titrating cardiac drips
  • Administer IVs, manage wound care, and handle various medical procedures

Qualifications

Required:

  • 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Proficient with EPIC, at least 6 months experience
  • Basic Med/Tele skillset
