Job Summary:
Nursing Professional, Medical Surgical Floor, Vermont This travel Registered Nurse (RN) position is based at a 25-bed independent Critical Access Hospital located in Vermonts Northeast Kingdom. The role involves caring for primarily adult medical/surgical patients with occasional pediatric cases, offering diverse clinical experiences. The assignment provides an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking professional growth while enjoying the scenic outdoor lifestyle of Vermont.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience, pediatric experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Meditech experience, Charge RN experience, ability to serve as Preceptor
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The RN will coordinate and deliver patient care across a broad scope including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and possibly acting as Charge RN or Preceptor. All credentials must be uploaded at least five business days prior to the start date to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Personal transportation is required as public transportation is unavailable in the rural area; NVRH does not provide housing but offers local housing resources.
