Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license required at submission
• At least 3 years of recent Medical-Surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Renal nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR); Epic experience must be clearly documented
• Strong adaptability, efficiency, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Successful completion of a required competency assessment on the first day

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients
• Care for patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and other complex medical conditions
• Perform frequent nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, escalating clinical concerns appropriately
• Coordinate care with nephrologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Prioritize nursing care effectively in a high-volume environment with frequent patient turnover
• Float within scope to similar units, including wound care, stroke, oncology, cardiac, observation, and emergency department boarder populations
• Promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes throughout the travel nursing assignment
