Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure eligible for practice in Ohio
• At least 3 years of current or recent telemetry and/or stepdown nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac telemetry; telemetry competency will be evaluated at orientation
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Epic electronic medical record proficiency; independent working knowledge is required
• Ability to float between adult medical-surgical units, including cardiac, wound care, stroke, oncology, respiratory, observation, and emergency department boarding areas

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during 12-hour day shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Assess patients, administer medications and treatments, and evaluate outcomes according to established care plans
• Care for patients with cardiac, neurological, respiratory, oncology, wound care, and other acute medical needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the Epic electronic medical record
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support quality outcomes and safe transitions of care
• Adapt quickly while floating between designated medical-surgical and related patient-care units
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards and clinical competencies
