• Schedule Notes: Orientation occurs every other Monday; weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg or relevant acute care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Strong comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced observation unit
• Ability to provide work history and explain any gaps over 90 days
• Skills checklist and nursing license verification required with submission
• Flexibility to support unit needs, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to Medical-Surgical and observation patients
• Manage patient assignments with typical ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
• Support charge responsibilities when assigned, with training and pay differential as applicable
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment by working positively with students and new team members
• Adapt to changing census and unit priorities while maintaining excellent patient care
