Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse, Washington - This opportunity involves providing comprehensive nursing care on a Medical Surgical unit within a healthcare organization. The role requires adapting to multiple facility locations and floating throughout the designated region to support patient needs and operational efficiency.
Job Details
- Location: Washington, primarily stationed at a facility in the region with required float to other facilities within the region.
- Position Description: Responsible for clinical profile review and patient care in a Medical Surgical environment, managing general medical patients inclusive of sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and other diagnoses.
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current state licensure; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years related work experience; ability to read strips from centralized telemonitoring system; ability to titrate drips such as insulin and heparin.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements.
- Additional Information: Must be willing to wait for license processing and to float within designated facilities as needed, with some support equipment such as Cpap and bipaps.
- Certifications: BLS required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
- Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered nursing care, utilize EPIC charting system, and adapt to facility-specific protocols.
