Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel OR Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience and demonstrate expertise in trauma, robotic, and orthopedic surgical procedures while providing exceptional perioperative patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures.
- Monitor patient safety and advocate for optimal surgical outcomes.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and surgical events accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Active California RN License required.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Current NIHSS Certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience.
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required.
