Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient acuity and unit needs
• Experience with medically complex or rehabilitation-focused patients preferred

LTAC Nursing Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to guide individualized care planning
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Provide timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate patient status updates effectively
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission
• Support rehabilitation goals and encourage patients and families throughout the care journey
• Delegate and supervise ancillary nursing staff appropriately
• Promote a safe, organized, and positive environment for patients, families, and team members
• Maintain communication regarding supply, equipment, and clinical support needs
• Contribute to unit teamwork, quality outcomes, and professional growth
