ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our specialized team in the Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Intensive Care Unit. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the LTAC ICU setting.
  • Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to established protocols and standards for patient safety and quality of care.

Shift and Schedule

This position requires a night shift of 4x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30. Successful candidates will be expected to provide support on weekends through a rotating call schedule among team members.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is required.
  • Previous experience in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting is preferred.
  • Neuroscience experience is highly valued for this role.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.

Contract Details

Full-time opportunities are available, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Contracts may range from 13 to 26 weeks, depending on operational needs.
