Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit serving midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care populations
- Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery, providing continuous newborn care — including eyes, Vitamin K injections (thighs), and newborn assessments — until transfer to postpartum; this is a hard-stop requirement
- Circulate in the OR (hard-stop requirement) — unit operates 4 ORs supporting all types of deliveries
- Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
- Float to Postpartum and Antepartum, and may float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care
- Document and monitor using EPIC and perform electronic fetal monitoring; staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- High-risk L&D experience required; must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Ability to circulate in the OR and provide newborn care as described above (hard-stop requirements — candidates who do not meet these must not be submitted)
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) and work every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records and electronic fetal monitoring
- Familiarity with substance recovery support populations in a Labor & Delivery setting
