    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

    Location

    Sacramento, CA | Labor and Delivery / LDRP

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM start) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care across all aspects of an LDRP unit, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum — from start to finish
    • Circulate C-sections and manage high-risk obstetric patients including preterm labor, bleeding, inductions, cesarean sections, and hypertension
    • Titrate drips including Pitocin and monitor maternal and fetal status using GE Corometric monitors with Fetalink surveillance
    • Read and interpret EKG strips for patients in the PACU setting
    • May be assigned the NRP/Baby Catcher role for an entire shift as needed
    • Float to other Sacramento-area facilities as needed; mid-shift float to another facility is rare but possible
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN-Advanced
    • Ability to circulate C-sections and float to Mother-Baby (MB) unit
    • Comfortable managing all aspects of LDRP care in a high-risk unit environment
    • Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with the parent health system within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms may be considered
    • Two supervisory references required at time of submittal (charge nurse references accepted); one must be within the past 12 months and one within the past 3 years
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • STABLE certification preferred
    • Experience with antepartum monitoring and OB triage
    • Familiarity with AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines
    • Prior experience in a high-volume labor and delivery setting (unit delivers approximately 140–165 births per month)
