    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

    Location

    Peoria, IL | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Block Scheduling Available

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to pregnant, high-risk OB, and postpartum patients in a Level 3 perinatal center setting, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries and cerclage placement
    • Titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin in accordance with unit protocols
    • Circulate cesarean sections in the OR and recover patients in the PACU
    • Perform continuous electronic fetal monitoring using Obix/Philips monitors and Epic Stork EFM system; Advanced AWHONN EFM certification required
    • Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units as needed, managing teams of high-risk intermittent EFM patients
    • Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines, including 1:1 for Pitocin induction and active labor, and 2 RN:1 patient at time of delivery
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Advanced AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
    • Proficiency in care of high-risk OB patients, including management of Magnesium and Insulin drips
    • Experience circulating in an OR setting for cesarean sections and recovering patients in PACU
    • Proficiency in newborn care at both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
