Description:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a high-risk unit.
The assignment requires a commitment of 13 weeks.
Nights are the required shifts.
The average daily deliveries are around 7, with the potential for up to 14 patients due to inductions and high-risk antepartum.
The unit includes OB Triage, LDR, and OR suites.
Responsibilities include the administration of blood products, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and conducting postpartum care.
Nurses will be expected to provide support for breastfeeding and lactation.
Assessments for newborns will be a part of the duties performed.
The RN will participate in cesarean sections and must have skills in triage of obstetrical patients.
Experience with the charting system is required.
Flexibility to float within the hospital or to similar units may be necessary.
Every other weekend shift is required.
Travelers may not have time off approved in advance; all time off must be submitted during the application process.
This role requires a willingness to work holidays as needed.
Candidates must ensure they are at least 50 miles away from the facility.
