Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery- Circulate in the operating room during procedures
- Provide care during labor and delivery
- Perform standard vaginal exams (SVE) and place IUPC and FSE
- Serve as a stork nurse and transition newborns at delivery
- Assist with inductions, C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and procedures like D&C, cerclage, and tubal ligations
- Manage triage, NST, OB injections, OP infusions, and IUFD care
Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery- Active RN license in Alaska
- OR circulator experience
- Labor and Delivery experience
- AWHONN intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification, NRP, ACLS, BLS
