Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / GYN Registered Nurse – North Dakota**Start Date:** October 9, 2026 **Location:** Bismarck, North Dakota **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 3x12-hour shifts primarily nights with some day shifts; rotating weekends and holidays required**Highlights:** - Care for labor and delivery patients including high-risk cases, postpartum mother/baby couplets, and gynecological surgical postoperative patients- 19-bed unit with varied patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 for mother/baby couplets, and combination assignments- Epic charting system for gynecological patients; OBIX documentation and centralized fetal monitoring for labor and delivery- 36-hour comprehensive orientation program for traveling clinicians- Flexibility to assist in newborn nursery and NICU as needed- Acute care setting with 13-week assignment; client may cancel up to 12 hours per contract period**Requirements:** - Active Registered Nurse license eligible for submission- Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery required- Postpartum and gynecological nursing experience required- Current certifications: BLS/CPR, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)- STABLE certification preferred but not required- Fetal monitoring proficiency- Willingness to float to newborn nursery and NICU- Must not have permanent address within 80 miles of facility location- Previous employees of the facility system must have end date 6 months prior to submission**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive women's health care across the continuum from labor and delivery through postpartum recovery and gynecological surgical care.
