Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide care in a dynamic environment. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery. The nurse should be proficient in managing high-risk deliveries and assisting with cesarean sections. Key responsibilities include maintaining central lines, administering anticoagulation therapy, and interpreting fetal heart rate patterns. Candidates should be capable of providing discharge teaching to parents and assessing newborns, including monitoring for hypoglycemia. Experience with epidural anesthesia and pain management is preferred. The role involves rigorous patient assessment and adherence to isolation precautions. Skills in support for breastfeeding and postpartum care are essential. Nurses will be responsible for the accurate interpretation of telemetry strips for patients under their care. This position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to coordinate care effectively and manage patient education.
