Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWOHNN Intermediate, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience (1-2 for labor, 3-4 for postpartum) - Charting system experience preferred (EPIC) Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. First-time travelers are welcomed, provided they meet the experience requirements. Weekend shifts will be required based on unit needs, approximately every other weekend. On-call duties are also required, approximately one shift every six weeks. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs and between similar units may be necessary. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:4. Daily operations will be supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Candidates should be familiar with the administration of medications and be able to provide care for neonates and adults. Experience in high-risk deliveries, postpartum care, and newborn assessments is essential. Additional skills in breastfeeding support, patient education, and managing complications are preferred.
