Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. The role involves care of laboring patients, including those with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes. Candidates must have experience caring for gestations of 34 weeks and greater. The position requires proficiency in managing C-sections and External Cephalic Versions. Nurses will provide couplet care in a high risk Labor and Delivery unit, postpartum care, and assist in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. Responsibilities include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, and support for breastfeeding. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in maternal and newborn assessment, pain management, and care of mothers post-delivery. This position involves a patient-centered approach to care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have experience in triaging obstetrical patients and managing complications during labor and delivery.
