Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery is responsible for delivering exceptional care and supporting female patients during labor and the birthing process. The RN must have strong labor and delivery experience, including conducting cervical exams, performing antepartum and labor procedures, administering amnio infusions and epidurals, conducting fetal monitoring, managing IVs and Pitocin, circulating during C-sections, and participating in neonatal responsibilities such as baby catching and APGAR scoring.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cervical exams and manage labor processes.
• Monitor fetal health and administer necessary interventions.
• Assist with C-sections as a circulator.
• Provide post-partum care and transition care for mother and baby.
• Offer breastfeeding support and education.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.
• Certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring are required.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records is preferred.
