Job Requirements

• Current Virginia RN license or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Recent Labor & Delivery, OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• Experience with antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and cesarean section care preferred
• BLS required; ACLS may be accepted in lieu of BLS
• NRP required or obtainable within 3 months of hire, as applicable
• C-EFM certification preferred
• Experience with Epic and perinatal systems preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity night shift environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and obstetrical patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, including fetal heart patterns and labor progression
• Provide triage, stabilization, education, and discharge support
• Assist with cesarean sections and circulate in the operating room as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Administer medications, document accurately, and evaluate patient responses
• Support mothers and families with compassionate coaching throughout the birth experience
• Respond quickly and confidently to urgent maternal and neonatal needs
