- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, approximately 36 hours per week
- Call: On-call up to 24 hours per 6 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
- At least 1 year of recent RN experience required
- 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred, including antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate experience
- Ability to circulate C-sections; scrub/assist experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Fetal heart monitoring knowledge required; C-EFM certification preferred
- Experience with Epic and Perinatal Centricity preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced maternity care environment with variable patient needs
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered nursing care for women and newborns across antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic care settings
- Complete comprehensive assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Monitor fetal heart tracings and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
- Support and assist with vaginal exams, labor management, resuscitation, and stabilization of the mother/fetal dyad
- Circulate cesarean sections and assist with deliveries as needed
- Administer medications safely and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide breastfeeding support, discharge education, and family teaching on newborn care and self-care
- Maintain a calm, professional presence during emergencies and rapidly changing clinical situations
- Promote patient safety, privacy, and high-quality care through evidence-based nursing practice
