Description:
The Registered Nurse will be working in Interventional Radiology during day shifts, Monday through Friday.
The position involves working with inpatients and outpatients.
The staff member should have a solid understanding of radiation safety and practice.
Travelers with experience are welcome.
The nurse will be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with technologists and physicians.
Good communication and triaging skills are essential.
Daily patient ratios are typically 1:3.
The average daily census is approximately 10 patients.
Charting is done using the Epic system.
The role involves care and maintenance of implanted ports and PICC lines.
Additionally, the nurse will assist in monitoring patients during procedural sedation.
Knowledge of contrast extravasation and reaction assessment is important.
The nurse may assist anesthesiologists in preparing and recovering cases under sedation for diagnostic imaging.
Understanding radioligand therapy is a plus, though not required.
