Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 Hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and nursing processes. The nurse supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. The position requires coordination of care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. The nurse collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. They analyze the assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. A plan is developed that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes. The nurse implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health in a safe environment. They evaluate progress toward achieving outcomes. Outcomes for the patient situation are identified. Collaboration occurs with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, humane, and caring environment. The nurse provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Health information is directly provided to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participation in discharge planning ensures continuity of care. The nurse delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
