    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool) | 12-Hour Nights

    Location

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float within scope of practice across PCU, Telemetry, MedSurg, and ED Holding units; expect to spend a significant portion of shifts in the ED Holding area
    • Care for a diverse patient population including neuro, trauma, surgical, medical, cardiac (post-CABG/TAVR, STEMIs, pacemakers, ablations, post-cath), respiratory compromise, sepsis, renal failure, CHF, COPD, and stroke patients
    • Perform IV medication titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, BiPAP management, and management of ostomies, general drains, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and lumbar drains
    • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR, including hourly rounding, whiteboard updates, pain assessments before and after medication administration, and bedside report
    • Adhere to strict medication safety protocols including two-nurse verification when wasting narcotics and benzodiazepines, and proper medication storage at all times
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 (PCU) and 1:5–6 (MedSurg) with support from CNA, Charge RN, Hospitalist, RT, and specialty MDs available 24/7
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington (or compact eligibility)
    • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience; strong PCU/Telemetry background required
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
    • Traveler Telemetry Competency required prior to starting
    • Previous float pool experience required for first-time travelers
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with TR Band management
    • Experience caring for post-CABG/TAVR patients (required for cardiac stepdown assignments)
    • Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
    • Previous travel nursing experience in a float pool setting
