    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

    Location

    Rock Island, IL | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 8, 10, or 13-week contracts available | Expected 36–48 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
    • Manage and care for PCU/Stepdown patients, including those requiring chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
    • Administer and titrate vasoactive and specialty drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
    • Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and care coordination
    • Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
    • May be required to work 1–2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license required; Iowa RN license required (or willingness to obtain upon offer)
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • ACLS certification (AHA) required
    • Minimum 1 year of previous Stepdown/PCU experience required
    • Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines, and vasoactive drip titration required
    • Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months
    • Valid Driver's License required
    • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date required
    • 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed
    • Experience working in a high-acuity regional medical center or trauma center environment
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
