Contract | Night Shift | 8, 10, or 13-week contracts available | Expected 36–48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
- Manage and care for PCU/Stepdown patients, including those requiring chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
- Administer and titrate vasoactive and specialty drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and care coordination
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
- May be required to work 1–2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license required; Iowa RN license required (or willingness to obtain upon offer)
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of previous Stepdown/PCU experience required
- Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines, and vasoactive drip titration required
- Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months
- Valid Driver's License required
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date required
- 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed
- Experience working in a high-acuity regional medical center or trauma center environment
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
