    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (12-Hour Nights)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as the primary nurse in an ED Holding unit, caring for patients with mixed diagnoses across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg acuity levels in a fast-paced environment
    • Provide ACLS transport coverage throughout the hospital, including inpatient units, ED, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PACU, and Cath Lab; after 2300, support the ED Holds area with breaks and medication administration as a resource nurse
    • Manage patients requiring cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV medication titration, ventilator management, invasive line management, chest tubes, trachs, ostomies, and general drains depending on unit assignment
    • Float within scope of practice across units including ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, and Rehab as census and staffing needs require
    • Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
    • Demonstrate strong communication and patient teaching skills while remaining flexible and resourceful across varied patient populations
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting (ICU, PCU, or Med-Surg depending on unit assignment)
    • ACLS certification required for ICU and PCU assignments; BLS required for all assignments
    • NIHSS certification required for ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg assignments
    • Telemetry competency required prior to or during orientation
    • Ability to call staffing office 30–45 minutes before each shift to receive unit assignment and report on time to the designated unit
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers will be considered
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
    • Experience with higher-level therapies such as CRRT, hypothermia protocol, or prone positioning
    • Comfort managing isolation patients, non-ambulatory patients, and diverse patient acuity levels within a single shift
