    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Neuro Med/Surg – Travel Contract

    Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Two weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver attentive and compassionate patient-centered care on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg PCU with a 6:1 patient ratio
    • Perform and maintain IV access, basic wound care, surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
    • Utilize telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, PCA, continuous pulse oximetry, EKG machines, feeding pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanner equipment
    • Document accurately and efficiently using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Conduct bedside shift reports and actively involve patients and family members in their plan of care
    • Float to other units as directed per contract labor floating policy and rotation schedule
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    • Current BLS certification
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with Med/Surg background
    • Proficiency in IV insertion, basic wound care, and management of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
    • Ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or Neuro Med/Surg setting
    • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
    • Experience working in a trauma or stroke-certified facility
