Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step-Down) setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Tennessee (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down unit
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new care team environments
