Provide care for patients with central lines, PICC lines, medi-ports, midlines, foley catheters, nephrostomy tubes, pleurx catheters, chest tubes, NG tubes, PEG tubes, J tubes, and flexiseal devices. Float to ICU or Med/Surg Telemetry as needed, including management of low-acuity ICU patients such as those on low-dose vasopressors, stable vents, or post-thrombectomy/TNK patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Administer medications safely and manage fixed-rate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine, Cardene, Lasix, Bumex, Narcan, and Milrinone.
• Manage patients requiring advanced respiratory support including vents, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and Heated High Flow oxygen.
• Provide care for patients with central lines, PICC lines, medi-ports, midlines, foley catheters, nephrostomy tubes, pleurx catheters, chest tubes, NG tubes, PEG tubes, J tubes, and flexiseal devices.
• Float to ICU or Med/Surg Telemetry as needed, including management of low-acuity ICU patients such as those on low-dose vasopressors, stable vents, or post-thrombectomy/TNK patients.
• Serve as a patient safety advocate, coordinate care across hospital departments, and collaborate with spiritual care, palliative care, and ethics teams as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an approved source required prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.
• Dysrhythmia Exam completion required (study guide available).
• Demonstrated experience working with ICU-level patients and managing ventilators and tracheostomies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Pre- and Post-Cardiac Catheterization Lab patients and Pre- and Post-CABG patients.
• CCRN or PCCN certification.
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
