Travel RN – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio
- Apply EKG interpretation skills to monitor and respond to cardiac changes in patients
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
- Document patient information and care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Assist with or support occasional procedures such as paracentesis or thoracentesis
- Float to ICU or Med-Surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Critical thinking skills essential for PCU-level patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience titrating cardiac medications
- Team-oriented work style with ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced unit environment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
