    Job Title

    Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

    Location

    Augusta, GA | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | 13-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to PCU patients with an expected ratio of 1:4–1:5
    • Monitor and document vital signs every 4 hours, or more frequently based on patient condition
    • Perform blood glucose checks as ordered and complete required assessments and documentation every shift
    • Manage cardiac drips and insulin drips in accordance with unit protocols
    • Float to other areas of the hospital consistent with individual competencies as needed
    • Collaborate as part of a cohesive team alongside Unit Coordinators and Patient Care Technicians
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Georgia
    • ACLS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with PCU or comparable step-down experience
    • Proficiency with Meditech documentation system preferred; must be adaptable to electronic health records
    • Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines, bladder scan, and vein finder equipment
    • Must adhere to dress code: Royal Blue Scrubs; no artificial or gel nails
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience managing cardiac drips and insulin drips in a step-down or progressive care setting
    • Ability to work well within a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture
    • Flexibility and preference for consecutive night shifts (3-in-a-row scheduling is supported)
    • Experience with self-scheduling environments
