Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients requiring close monitoring as they transition from acute or critical care settings
- Manage post-surgical and medically complex patients, including those in a transplant care environment
- Administer treatments and medications while continuously evaluating patient conditions and responses
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as clinically indicated
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Demonstrated experience in a PCU, progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a transplant or specialty PCU environment
- Experience managing post-surgical or high-acuity patient populations
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary care coordination in a complex hospital setting
