Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Details:
• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Hiring manager open to considering 4x12 schedules and block weekend scheduling (Friday through Sunday)
• Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends; General Care ratio of 1:4 and IMC ratio of 1:2
• This position will also support the Thoracic Surgery unit
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Travel experience required
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Vent and transplant experience required - candidates not strongly proficient in these areas will not be considered
• Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II Trauma Center or similar size hospital
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA only)
• Charting system experience required - Epic
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
• Traveler must pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start
• Telemetry exam criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole), no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, and a passing score of 80% or higher
• Traveler will have two attempts to pass; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate of completion
• Key skills required include: cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, PICC line management, heparin protocols, titration of cardiac and insulin drips, post-transplant care, tracheostomy care/management, and wound care/wound vac among others
• Provide care to acutely ill adult patients presenting with multiple comorbidities, various medical diagnoses, and hemodynamic instability
• Specialty populations include patients with Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post lung transplant
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy

The facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center and features a 29-bed intermediate care unit that provides comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients. The unit supports both general care and IMC-level patients in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where nurses play an integral role in advocating for quality patient care.
