Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry/Progressive Care – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), Day/Evening rotation, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Patient ratio 1:3.

  • Epic charting system with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • Opportunity to assist with specialized procedures including chest tube insertion in dedicated procedure room
  • Engage with evidence-based nursing practices in a dynamic, team-oriented environment focused on compassionate care and innovation
Requirements
  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry, oncology, cardiac, or PCU/IMC/Stepdown settings
  • Ventilator and transplant experience required
  • ICU or IMC and surgical post-operative experience required
  • Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Thoracic surgery experience preferred
  • Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria prior to start, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
  • Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, vasoactive drip titration, and other advanced nursing skills
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
