Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Telemetry – Wisconsin
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts available (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am). Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. 3:1 patient ratio.

- Care for complex patient populations including lung and esophageal procedures, cardiac surgery stepdown, and hospitalist patients
- Opportunity to work with advanced equipment and evidence-based nursing practices in a teaching institution environment
- Travel assignment with floating required as needed between units
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in telemetry, oncology, cardiac, or PCU/IMC/Stepdown specialty
- Ventilator and transplant experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict criteria (80% passing score, 100% identification of lethal rhythms)
- Strong clinical skills including cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, chest tubes, ventilator management, and central line care
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility
