Registered Nurse – ICU

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-hour rotating day/night shifts | Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed unit encompassing three levels of care: ICU, Stepdown, and Med/Surg
- Manage a patient assignment with a ratio consistent with ICU-level care standards
- Float as needed to the Med/Surg unit or other regional locations within the south region
- Participate in on-call rotation; if called back, a minimum 2-hour callback commitment is required
- Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification required
- ADN or BSN degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in Epic charting required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and manage variable census environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative, team-oriented approach
