Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or night shift hours of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with additional weekends possible if willing
• Every other holiday required with additional holidays possible if willing
• Unit is a 16-bed Surgical ICU with 2 additional procedural beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 standard, 1:1 for higher acuity patients (CRRT, immediate post-op hearts, MTP, OPO), and 1:3 for med-surg/floor status patients
• Care for cardiovascular surgery patients (CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA), traumas, NSTEMI/STEMI, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, ortho surgery, and ENT surgery patients
• Must have experience with high acuity patient populations and tertiary care
• CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO experience not required but preferred
• All nurses responsible for post-operative day 1 heart patients; immediate post-op heart patients cared for 1:1 by specifically trained nurses
• Required to titrate drips including epi, norepi, propofol, precedex, vasopressin, dobutamine, heparin, insulin, dopamine, neo, and milrinone
• Charge nurse available every shift; nursing house supervisor available 24/7
• Nurse aides available during day shift only
• Intensivist in house 24/7
• Respiratory therapy in ICU 24/7 with full RT equipment including vents, BiPAP, and vapotherm
• RNs required to monitor own telemetry and read and document rhythm strips using GE monitors
• Floating to MICU possible if not needed in SICU; may also serve as patient observer within hospital if not needed in either ICU
• No specific scrub color required; clean and professional attire expected
• Orientation includes one day of system onboarding and CBT completion followed by two orientation shifts on the unit
• Must complete skills checklist
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC

This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center and serves as a tertiary care center for its regional health system. The Surgical ICU is a high-acuity unit supported by 24/7 intensivist coverage, respiratory therapy, and nursing house supervisor availability. The facility offers a broad range of surgical and medical specialties, providing care for complex cardiovascular, neurological, vascular, and trauma patients in a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
